Course Description

This qualification gives you a broad understanding of hospitality, and begins to explore in substantial depth, theoretical concepts relating to: business operations, hospitality budgeting, workplace diversity, legal knowledge for business, rostering, and service quality. On completion of the Diploma employment opportunities are available at middle management. Continue your studies to complete the Advanced Diploma.

Please note that part-time delivery of this course is offered only in Melbourne.

International students may only complete this program via full-time delivery at the Melbourne campus.

You are welcome to apply for the course if you are either:

  • a mature-age applicant
  • a current secondary-school student that is completing (or has completed) Year 12.
Pre-Training Review Interview
 
To assist you with determining whether a course suits your personal needs and career goals, we will assess your literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills during your Pre-Training Review Interview.
 
We will then discuss with you the outcomes of your review, provide guidance as to whether the course is the best fit for you, and identify whether you might require any further learning support.

Your actual fees will be calculated based on your individual circumstances and eligibility for a government subsidized place at the time of enrolment.  Students with a valid concession may have their tuition fees reduced further.
You may also need to pay student amenities and materials fees.   The final fee will vary by course and will be determined at enrolment, but 2018 indicative fees by course are listed here.

Please note there may be fee changes for Semester 1, 2019.
